How to maintain artificial grass

Whilst artificial grass is a low-maintenance alternative to the garden lawn, it is recommended that you take a few steps to take good care of your artificial grass to keep it looking fresh and healthy and ensure years of use.

  • Keep it clean – Rainwater will rinse away dirt, but giving your lawn a quick rinse with the hose from time to time will ensure a bright and clean looking lawn. Try to remove any spills as soon as possible.
  • Avoid excessive heat or harmful chemicals – Ensure all barbeques are raised and avoid using any pest control products on your grass.
  • Remove debris – Pick up or blow away any leaves or other debris that fall onto your artificial grass. If they aren’t moved away and start to decompose on your lawn, you may start to see moss growth.

We recommend cleaning your artificial grass once a week throughout Summer for best results, then using a power brush every month or so to lift the pile to stop it from flattening over time.
